Abstract
The objective of the NORUSVA project is to continue, to develop and strengthen the recently established and existing cooperation on freshwater ecology research between the Norwegian and Russian researchers in Svalbard. In frames of this project a workshop in Moscow, Russia will be organized and conducted. Participants from Norwegian, Russian and other countries institutions will attend this event. During the workshop research facilities of Russian collaboration partners will be visited and participants will get acquitted with applied methods and protocols. It is important because collected scientific material from Svalbard is being processed in laboratories located in Moscow State University. We will also plan future fieldwork in Svalbard, dissemination measures, reporting as well as we will discuss open sharing of data and joint publications. The final topic for this meeting is to plan future collaboration both in Svalbard and high Artic in Russia. The outcomes will include a workshop report and a plan of action with specific and concrete coordination and network development activities.
