Abstract
On December 7 and 8, NIOO and DANS organise a symposium and several free workshops on open data and open science. The workshops target PhD and postdoctoral researchers and match the scope of open science initiatives such as the European Open Science Cloud and the GO FAIR initiative. On December 7, a mini-symposium with several keynote speakers will precede the workshops on December 8. This mini-symposium will take place in the historical Linnaeus Library of the Artis Zoo in Amsterdam. The workshops on December 8 focus on novel techniques and developments relevant for ecological and evolutionary research and address questions such as ‘where to find and store your research data’ and ‘how to manage your software and codes’. Expertise and support is provided by a range of selected trainers and organisations. All workshops will take place on the 8th of December at the Amsterdam Science Park.
