Abstract
The primary objective of the grant is to develop nutrient supplementation technology for industrial acacia and aspen plantations, testing new crop enhancement materials. The optimum doses of the nutrients, the rate of nutrient uptake into the soil and the impact of the nutrients on the soil microfauna will be determined. Based on the testing of molecular genetic markers, a method for the laboratory identification (fingerprinting) of the acacia and poplar clones to be tested in the framework of the project will be defined.
