Abstract
The marine sediments of Egerian in Hungary on the surface can be studied from the Buda Hills to the surroundings of Eger. The macrofaunal investigation of the Egerian formations from paleontological aspect has been finished 30 years ago (Báldi 1973). During our actual investigations we shall recollect the macrofauna of the existing sites, we intend to look for new sites, and we should like to investigate some boreholes, too. Beside the macrofauna we shall investigate also the microfauna from geological aspect. During our work we shall investigate the geological conditions and sedimentation, the bedforms and the trace fossils, taking into respect to the diagenetical variations and effects.
