Abstract
The topic of the research project is interdisciplinary, involving concepts and methods of evolutionary biology, ecology, biomathematics and mathematical systems theory. A key concept of evolutionary game theory is evolutionary stability that is based on the Darwinian principle of natural selection. This concept can be concretised in different biological situations. An important background of the planned research is the family of classical mathematical models of density-dependent interaction of populations. A major objective of the project is a unification of these models with the frequency-dependent models of evolutionary game theory.
