Abstract
The proposed measure suggests a workshop at the Universidad Central do Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela, with the aim to : 1) Transfer the state of the art knowledge about actual trends in biotechnological research and economic opportunities in biotechnology; 2) Transfer of practical know- how in screening strategies followed by microbial identification and characterization, from European Universities (Austria and Finland) , to Pan-Amazonian Universities (Brazil and Venezuela) other educative organizations and private enterprises. 3) train experts, professionals and students to transform microbial biodiversity into economic value
