Abstract
Summary Objective Develop and test a management system for implementing an Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries (EAF), by testing a process for implementation that is supported by linked state and pressure indicators. Key Customer Purpose Develop, test and report on indicators that allow managers and stakeholders to assess the status of the ecosystem and the impacts of fishing, and to develop decision tables that allow managers and stakeholders to see the effects of different management options and to choose from among them. The project will focus on the development of a pilot application of the ecosystem approach (EAF) to fishing in the southwest.
