Abstract
Summary Objective: Provide improved knowledge of the movements of edible crabs (Cancer pagurus) in the English Channel at local and regional scales, to provide the basis for providing better quality advice on management of crab stocks. Key Customer Purpose: Develop improved quality of advice to Defra on the status and management of crab stocks through a better understanding of stock structure and dynamics of crabs in the English Channel. These underpin stock assessment and determine the spatial scales at which management measures are likely to be appropriate and effective.
