Abstract
The project will compare bird abundance data with land cover data, from habitat inventories and from the land cover map. It will assess the importance of different habitat types and their availability within the landscape in determining the distribution and abundance of farmland, woodland and water birds. It will make recommendations for land use policy and practices required to increase the range and population seize of breeding birds.
