Abstract
Summary Objective As part of The Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 (FEPA), nine offshore wind farm in the UK have been subject to monitoring reports. This project aims to collate and strategically review these reports before comparing it’s findings against information on offshore wind farms from international sources. The output will be a report describing the key findings from the FEPA monitoring, lessons learned and recommendations for future monitoring. Key Customer Purpose It is important to gain an overall picture of the effects of offshore wind farms in preparation for further development. The project will also be an update to the April 2007 OSPAR Current State of Knowledge on the Environmental Impacts of the Location, Operation and Removal/Disposal of Offshore Wind Farms.
