Abstract
This short term project involves a review of the success of embedding the `England Biodiversity Strategy (EBS) Climate Change Adaptation Principles; conserving biodiversity in a changing climate` (2008) across all of the Special Interest Groups (SIGS) of the England Biodiversity Group and sample of Biodiversity Porgrammes subprogrammes and to determine whether further measures and support are required to help SIGs and subprogrammes review their objectives and deliverables against the adaptation climate change principles, and to identify where further assistance and guidance may be helpful to complete or extend the process. The review would involve behavioural research and consider a number of aspects to establish the effectiveness of the embedding process to date and how this can be built upon for the future to deliver the EBS objective of this embedding process towards development of a climate change adaptation strategy as part of the EBS by 2010. It would also consider what further guidance/ support would be necessary to enable subprogramme managers to become more self sufficient in taking account of climate change in their areas
