Abstract
Marine biodiversity plays a fundamental role in supporting a wide range of goods and services essential for the maintenance of the social and economic wellbeing of our society. The aim of this project was to provide an estimation of the total economic value (TEV) of marine biodiversity in UK waters and to provide an assessment of the change in value if marine biodiversity improves or declines. Goods and Services and non-use values were considered (and where possible a monetary value) in an attempt to gain a true appreciation of the value of marine biodiversity
