Abstract
Key Customer Purpose - Why is the R&D needed? There is a need to improve the provision of breeding seabird data that is available within the Coastal and Marine Resource Atlas of the ‘Magic’ website (www.magic.gov.uk). It is envisaged that this will significantly assist maritime contingency planning and response in relation to breeding seabirds. Summary Objectives The project will harmonize the provision of breeding seabird data across the UK, allowing web-based access to accurate, up-to-date and spatially-defined information on their distribution and trends, with particular emphasis on protected sites.
